The energy data IT platform called Leneda fulfills a public service mission in accordance with Art. 27ter of the modified law of August 1, 2007, relating to the organization of the electricity market and Art. 33 (1) paragraph g) of the modified law of August 1, 2007, relating to the organization of the natural gas market. This mission consists of a centralized data platform, primarily for the electricity and natural gas sectors, but potentially also for other resources such as water or heat. The Platform is owned by Creos Luxembourg SA, which deployed it in its role as the electricity and natural gas transmission system operator, and which ensures its management, maintenance, and operation. The Platform aims to:

  • serve as a central reference directory for energy data and data related to Network Users and Connection Takers. The Platform will ensure efficient, user-friendly, and secure access for electricity and natural gas companies, Network Users and Connection Takers, as well as Third Parties designated by them, and certain public authorities for the purpose of carrying out their missions.
  • act as a unique data exchange platform, ensuring centralized management of Market Communication and allowing for the harmonization of all processes related to market management, as well as the efficient execution of contracts and legal obligations, while guaranteeing data protection principles, particularly those outlined in the General Data Protection Regulation.
  • enable the development and provision of statistics and anonymized data for purposes of monitoring, transparency, and research.
